Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki
Grant surprised Catherine by proposing on Waikiki Beach in front of Diamond Head. He told her their dinner reservation at The Halekulani Hotel was rescheduled to 30 minutes later so they went for a sunset stroll along the beach. When they reached a preplanned spot, Grant turned to her and proposed.
The ring wasn't ready before Grant traveled to Hawaii, so he contacted the Halekulani and arranged to have the ring shipped there.
